Family Summit
On Wednesday, September 9, we’ll launch the Rosedale Family Summit—a four-week, conference-style experience where attendees can choose from four different sessions each week: Parenting, Marriage, Relationships, or a verse-by-verse study of Hebrews. Each session is designed to stand alone, allowing people to attend any week while receiving practical, biblical encouragement for their current season of life.
Our goal is to strengthen homes, encourage relationships, and create an inviting opportunity for both our church family and first-time Wednesday guests to grow together.

Discipleship doesn’t happen by accident—it grows through intentional rhythms woven into everyday life. In this session, Scott and Abby Smith will explore Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and share practical ways families can create a home where God’s Word is talked about, lived out, and celebrated together.
From mealtimes and bedtime conversations to prayer, Scripture, and everyday moments, you’ll discover simple, biblical practices that help your children grow in their love for the Lord. Whether your children are young or nearly grown, you’ll leave encouraged and equipped to build a home where faith is intentionally passed from one generation to the next.

Every parent wants obedient children, but Scripture teaches that behavior is only the fruit—the heart is the root. In this session, we’ll explore principles from Proverbs and discover why God calls parents to pursue their children’s hearts before simply correcting their actions. You’ll learn practical, biblical principles for building strong relationships, earning influence, and shepherding your child’s heart so that genuine obedience flows from within rather than being forced from without.

Every marriage has communication, but not every marriage has connection. In this session, Steve and Trisha Smith share practical, biblical tools for listening well, speaking truth in love, and navigating disagreements with grace instead of frustration. Drawing from Scripture and decades of marriage and ministry, they will help you identify communication patterns that build walls and replace them with habits that build trust. You’ll leave with simple tools you can begin using tonight.

You’ll be equipped to help your family use technology as a tool rather than allowing it to become the master.

Every couple enters marriage with expectations. Some are humorous, some are unrealistic, and others become painful when reality doesn’t match what we envisioned. In this session, we’ll examine a biblical couple and discover how Scripture reshapes our expectations of marriage. Together, we’ll see how God’s design offers hope, purpose, and joy, even when marriage looks different than we expected.

Have you ever felt like your family table keeps getting more complicated? Whether you are part of a blended family or love someone who is, navigating an expanded family requires more than good intentions—it requires grace. In this session, we’ll explore what Scripture teaches about chosen commitment, complicated loyalties, and God’s heart for expanding the family circle. You’ll leave with a biblical framework for the unique challenges blended families face and a renewed perspective on how God uses family to shape us into the image of Christ.
