Open Letter from Pastor Tewell

Parents:

Your joys are my joys and your concerns are my concerns.  As surely as I love my wife and children, I love Rosedale Baptist Church - the larger family God has placed in my care.  And so, my goal for the church is that it will minister to the needs of every member.  Spiritual development, of course, is vitally important as our youth grow into a vibrant relationship with God, but I am also very concerned with assisting young people to develop in other facets of their lives, such as the mental and social areas.

This is why I am so excited about Rosedale Baptist School - a ministry that is building our youth both academically and spiritually.  A Christian education through Rosedale Baptist School promises more than preparation for a career; it promises an education in divine wisdom found in the Bible, which is ultimate preparation not only for this life, but also for the next.

In my years as pastor of Rosedale Baptist Church, I have always been able to close my eyes and see a Christian school on this property, and I have prayed and believed the Lord would provide one here.  Now, when I open my eyes, I am praying not just for a school's future, but for our school's present.  Praise the Lord!  I now see with my eyes what I once saw only with my heart.  The Lord has worked wonders in turning the dream of having a Christian school into reality.  I continue to be amazed as I watch His hand at work in each facet of the school's operation.

Please join me in praising the Lord for all He has accomplished and will yet accomplish in the hearts and minds of our youth through Rosedale Baptist School.  It is a honor and pleasure to witness the miracle of lives changed in a church that is nothing less than a miracle church.  God bless you.

Scott B. Tewell,
Pastor
