Applicant Requirements

The Admissions Office requires:

  • Completed Application for Admission Form

  • Non-Refundable* Annual Registration Fee of $100

  • Up-to-date immunization records with full documentation

  • A physical examination performed by a physician (if the applicant is new to RBS), as required by the State of Maryland, submitted on the Maryland Health Assessment Form.

  • A copy of the applicant's Social Security Card and Birth Certificate

  • Signed Request for Records Form -- this form will used by the Admissions Office for release of information from the applicant's previous school. 

  • Records of the most recent school performance

    • For 1st grade applicants -- a copy of the most recent Pre-School or Kindergarten assessment, if available

    • For 2nd - 6th grade applicants -- a copy of the previous 2 years of report cards and the most recent achievement test scores

    * The Annual Registration Fee is not refundable for any reason other than 1) the applicant is not accepted, or; 2) no place is available for the applicant by the first day of school in the year for which the application is made.

Application Submittal

The Admissions Office accepts applications from families of new students beginning March 1st for the upcoming school year.  Parents are encouraged to submit the application as early as possible, as classes fill up and waiting lists are started.  Parents may submit an application and pay the registration fee to hold a slot for their child, even if the medical forms have not been submitted.

 Admissions Office Actions

The Admissions Office will:

  • Verify the family's church membership and regular attendance at Rosedale Baptist Church
     

  • Schedule an interview with the School Administrator for the parents and the applicant

  • Schedule an Entrance Test date  (A non-refundable fee of $25 is required at the time of the test, which takes 1 - 1.5 hours to complete)

  • Notify the parents by letter or phone call, if the applicant meets testing and other requirements, that the applicant is accepted into Rosedale Baptist School

  • Request complete records from the applicant's previous school
