A Class for Single
Ladies or Ladies
Attending Without Their
Spouses - Meeting at
8:30 a.m. on the Lower
Level in Room 97 -
Taught by Mrs. Mindy Teter
Thank you for your interest in the
Encouraging Women Sunday School Class. My name in Mindy Teter, the class
leader. I refer to myself as "leader" because I believe Jesus
Christ, through His Word, is our teacher, and each
Sunday morning, I simply convey His lessons of love and comfort.
We have been studying the women of the
Bible to learn more about ourselves. We looked at Lot's wife, and
learned about having wrong desires. Miriam taught us about emotions like
hatred and bitterness. Bible stories are filled with principles
for everyday living. For example, did you know that there are two women named Deborah mentioned in the
Bible? The lesser known one, the nurse of Rebekah, is mentioned in only
two Scripture verses; nevertheless, we learned that she offered an
enormous amount of encouragement -- an example that we try to follow as
we seek to bless others during Sunday School and throughout the week.
The Encouraging Women's Class is intended for
those who attend church alone. Perhaps you are a single mom, widowed,
divorced, or you're married, but your husband doesn't attend church. If
so, then our class is right for you! We come together each Sunday to learn
from God's Word and to comfort and support each other, as we share God's
love. So, if you are facing an unwanted divorce, loss of a loved one, or
loneliness, come and join us! Working through similar situations,
each of us can offer invaluable advice, sympathy, support, and
encouragement to each other through God's love.
We invite you to come help us, and to be
helped by us, in a warm and welcoming Christian atmosphere. We can
love you in the midst of any circumstance, because we know that Christ
first loved us in our own undesirable condition.
My prayer is that when you join us on
Sunday mornings, you will leave knowing that God and his people deeply
care for you.
"Wherefore comfort yourselves together,
and edify one another..."
